Position Summary:

The District Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of outside sales account executives within a defined territory. In this role, you will build, strengthen, and provide training and support for your team.   • Select outside sales talent and develop account executives in assigned territory. Assist in identification of new locations for expansion.
  • Support the personal and professional development of outside sales account executives through defined performance objectives and coaching. Maintain staffing levels through talent acquisition, development, and retention.
  • Develop and execute territory business plan in partnership with Regional Manager.
  • Improve conversion rates and achieve sales goals within assigned territory.
  • Assist and coach our outside sales efforts and sales development strategies designed to generate, pursue, and close deals. Develop and implement tailored strategies, including our range and retailer programs.
  • Deliver training and facilitate weekly process improvement activity with your team that drives the creation and attainment of sales goals. Advance membership and revenue activity to achieve targets set by sales leadership.
  • Must be able to travel 70% of the time within the district. Travel within the district approximately 2 weeks per month with additional travel to company headquarters or out of district for industry events. Requires some weekend and evening hours to foster relationships with current and potential partners.

Experience/Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business or related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in people leadership, preferably in a sales capacity.
  • Minimum of 5 years outside sales experience preferred.
  • Must obtain or already possess home state Property and Casualty license (paid training provided). Licensing can be obtained during the on-boarding process.
  • Familiarity with or experience in firearms industry, gun ranges, and/or retailers highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of territory, related markets and clients preferred.
  • Captivating interpersonal communication skills: written, oral, listening and presentation skills, both formal and informal.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills. High level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite Products, Google Suite & Salesforce.

This role provides:

  • Competitive base salary with UNCAPPED commissions
  • $5,500 in bonuses upon successful completion of training

Position Summary:

As a Delta Defense Account Executive, you will create a robust pipeline through pursuing, building, and maintaining professional relationships with gun ranges, retailers, and firearms instructors in your territory. Through those relationships, you will share the USCCA story in group presentations. By using effective closing techniques you will provide individuals with education, training, and self-defense liability insurance benefits through USCCA membership.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect for new business
  • Build and maintain client base
  • Sell USCCA Memberships at CCW (Concealed Carry Weapons Permit) classes (along with other firearms classes), and at brick & mortar stores/ranges
  • Execute the organization’s outside sales program
  • Ensure the successful achievement of Delta’s sales goals across the nation
  • Requires evening and weekend hours
  • Travel within your territory, home every night (with minimal exceptions)
  • Provide an unprecedented customer experience

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience preferred
  • Must pass State Property & Casualty Insurance exam following company provided training
  • Visionary, entrepreneurial-minded professional with strong interpersonal & leadership skills
  • Persuasive presentation skills with experience presenting to large audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to draw conclusions and make solid recommendations
  • Experience growing a territory through prospecting and pipeline management
  • Exceptional negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
  • Familiar with Salesforce and Google products suite
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Proven ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse range of people at all levels and functions of the organization

Pay: 

$48,000 Base Salary, uncapped commission, bonus-eligible for company incentive plan.
